Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information TapnShout (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit tapnshout.com, use the TapnShout dashboard as a business, or use a TapnShout customer page as a shop visitor, and how we use it. We operate from Singapore and follow the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). If you are in the EU or UK, we also handle your data in line with the GDPR.

1. Shop visitors (customer pages)

When you open a shop’s TapnShout page, we do not ask for your name, email, phone number or social media login.

  • What you pick: the options you tap and any words you type are sent to our AI provider to write a draft post. We do not store your draft text with anything that identifies you.
  • Usage counts: we count page opens, drafts and which platform button was tapped, by day, so the shop can see totals. These counts are not linked to you.
  • Photos: photos you choose stay on your phone and are passed directly to the app you share them to. They are not uploaded to us.
  • You post from your own Xiaohongshu, Instagram, Facebook or Google account. Those platforms’ own privacy policies apply to what you publish there.

2. Businesses (dashboard accounts)

  • Account details: business name, email address and a securely hashed password.
  • Shop content: the information you enter, such as your address, menu options, logo and links.
  • Billing: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and, for annual plans, the shipping address for your NFC stand. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Usage and reports: monthly totals of scans, drafts and posts for your pages.

3. Website visitors and enquiries

If you fill in a form on tapnshout.com (for example the free Xiaohongshu check or a demo request), we collect the details you enter, such as shop name, city, website, email and WhatsApp number, and use them only to reply to you. We may use analytics and advertising tools (such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel) to understand which pages are useful; these use cookies, which you can block in your browser.

4. Who processes data for us

  • Netlify (hosting of app.tapnshout.com) and Hostinger (hosting of tapnshout.com)
  • Anthropic (AI that writes draft posts)
  • Stripe (payments and subscriptions)
  • Google (Maps and Places data used to link to your Google review page)

These providers may process data outside your country. We only share what each one needs to provide its service.

5. How long we keep data

Business account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 90 days after you close it, except records we must keep for tax and accounting. Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months. Daily usage counts are kept as aggregated statistics.

6. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing support@tapnshout.com. We reply within 30 days.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
